Create a Basic TurnItIn Assignment
  • Go to Content Area/Folder
    • Blackboard courses come with two default Content Areas: Content and Information
  • Click Assessments
  • Click TurnItIn Assignment
  • Select Paper Assignment
  • Click Next Step
  • Fill in name and other necessary information
  • For Advanced Options, click Optional Settings
  • Click Submit
  • Click OK


GradeMark
  • Click Course Tools on the Control Panel on the Left Menu
  • Click TurnItIn Assignments
  • Select the assignment to be graded
  • Click the blue object or number in the grade column
  • Use the tools on the right side to mark the paper
  • Enter the number grade in the box in the top right corner
  • When done exit the window
  • Repeat process for each paper


Advanced Options
  • Enter Special Instructions
  • Allow submissions after due date
  • Generate originality report
    • Change when the report is generated
  • Exclude bibliography
  • Exclude quoted materials
  • Exclude small matches
  • Allow students to see originality report
  • Submit papers to repository
  • Choose which repository papers are checked against
  • Create a Rubric
  • Enable a grammar check
